The Breast and Prostate Cancer Association of Queensland is a volunteer-managed charity organisation dedicated to improving breast and prostate cancer services to people living in rural and regional Queensland.

Our Mission is to provide grants for the education and placement of nurses, research and rural seminars, and to produce a Resource Directory of services and support available throughout Queensland. We also provide financial assistance grants for rural and regional patients for expenses relating to the treatment and travel costs.

Our newsletter is produced twice a year, and circulated throughout Queensland to supporters, members of the association, health care workers and interested parties. The newsletter aims to provide up-to-date information on new treatments, therapies and other matters pertaining to breast and prostate cancer and to keep the community informed of the activities and achievements of the association.

Michael Crouch

It is a genuine privilege to step into the role of President of the Breast and Prostate Cancer Association of Queensland. Having served on the board as Vice President in recent years, I do so with a deep familiarity with the work we do, with sincere gratitude to Mrs Gina Fairfax whose leadership has shaped the organisation, and with real respect for the board, subcommittees, volunteers and supporters who continue to carry it forward.

For more than three decades, BPCAQ has stood beside Queenslanders facing breast or prostate cancer far from major treatment centres. I look forward to working alongside everyone who has built BPCAQ into what it is today, and to ensuring our impact continues to grow in the years ahead.
